Community Engagement PRN

Since 1977, Sojourner Center has been a safe haven from domestic violence for women and their children in Arizona. Since our founding, we have transformed lives by providing shelter and support services to more than 60,000 adults and children affected by domestic violence. We provide a broad spectrum of services to victims of domestic violence, while working with professionals in the field on education, research and advocacy with the goal of ending domestic violence.

Job Summary:

The Community Engagement PRN is an on-call position that assists in the attraction and retention of volunteers and in-kind donors. This position works closely with all programs to support staff and enhance programs and services.

Schedule: As Needed

Rate of Pay: $17.00/hour

1. Communicates regularly with volunteers, answering queries and scheduling appointments in a timely manner
2. Oversees communication with in-kind donors through email, phone and social media as needed
3. Assists Community Engagement Coordinator and Manager with group volunteers and projects
4. Works closely with and supports Community Engagement Coordinator and Manager as needed

• High School or equivalent
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bloomerang desired
• Valid Arizona Driver License, proof of automobile insurance and Motor Vehicle Record acceptable to Sojourner Center’s insurance company
• Ability to obtain a Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card

Physical Factors/Working Conditions

• Ability to work in an office setting
• Requires the use of a computer and other standard office equipment
• Travel between work locations and within the community required
• Flexibility in scheduling required (some evenings/weekends)
